The Spacerun is a digital band in the style of Gorillaz (without the cartoon heroes) created by songwriter and label owner Toks Majek. The Spacerun creates well written well produced music using the best vocalists and works with developing artists to polish their work to a professional level. Our main pool is Soul, New Soul, RnB, Vocal HipHop [yeah we made that one up] and Tough Pop [and that one]. But we have House, Rap and Chilled Vibe overtones.

The Spacerun was born as over the years Toks has worked with a number of promising acts that ultimately decided music was not for them or for whatever reason strode off to the Big City and got devoured by some street corner sharks… [Ed. sharks swimming in circles on the street corner…what a lovely image] However along the way they created work that deserved to be heard but wasn’t. The Spacerun would have ensured that didn’t happen and so now it does

The point of the Spacerun is to offer a flexible way to regularly release good music curating EP’s and Albums along the way if that remains the vogue or dispense with the whole thing and just focus on the songs. The good thing about this approach, while we get our weight up, is that Toks has hit his 10,000 hour stride and is writing quality songs faster than he can find artists! Toks has been in music for many years managing, promoting, writing producing and everything in between. The Spacerun will soon be featuring known guest singers and are reaching out to a few as we speak as the more people that know of the Band thanks to the fanbase of our established artists fanbase etc the better for the cool but unknown artists we love to work.
